What are we up to?
The wordsmith is hard at work on his next piece, Liber Arcanum. As we speak it is in final first draft and preparing to be released for art submissions and editing. Shortly behind it is the Book of Lost Runes. Play testing starts next week! Be patient, we are hoping for a fall release, all things being equal. Stay tuned for further updates.

Critters, Creatures, and Denizens Released!
At last, the time has come.
Cognition Pressworks is proud to announce the long-awaited release of
Critters,
Creatures, and Denizens.
A
new book of monstrous surprises and new ideas for the Dungeon Crawl Classics
Roll Play Game. In its pages are:
· More than 120
Pre-generated DCC RPG compatible
creature entries from the banal to the horrific with more than 400 variations
for size and other subtypes.
· More than 7 templates that transform
the stock creatures into zombies, skeletons, lycanthropes, and more…
· The guidelines and definitions needed
to create your own creatures that will scale appropriately with the DCC RPG environment.
· Two tables with more than 30 mutations
so you can create so many variations that your grandchildren will still be using this manual to create
original combinations!
Optional rules for:
· Familiars, critters with class levels,
and more…
· Overland and table top movement for
those who love a safari…
· New sources for magic items…
Things you will not find in this
work:
· Treasure tables. Most creatures don’t
bother, and the ones who do are likely to be using whatever it is against the
players. Besides, every Judge and Storyteller has their own ideas on
appropriate treasure so why bother to codify things with tables?
· Threat ratings and encounter balancing
architecture, because only you can know what your players can and cannot
handle. Besides, the creatures of the wild don’t look for targets of equivalent
strength. They hunt the weak, the sick,
and the lame… aka: adventurers…
Now
available two formats.
In print ($14.99 plus shipping) at lulu.com
Digital download ($9.99) at d20pfsrd.com
We will also be at GameStorm with Guardian Games in late March.

At long last...
It is with great joy that I announce the completion of Critters, Creatures, & Denizens!! Yes, That's right... not just partly finished... IT'S DONE! :D I've sent off for proof copies and I still need to submit a copy to Goodman Games for a final quality inspection and then it goes live. I'm rather pleased with how it turned out, but then my opinion is biased. ;)
I think it will have a little something for everyone in the Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG system. It started as a simple exercise in building critters for use in the public beta test, but it evolved into much, much more. While writing the CCD, I tried as much as possible with each creature entry, to imagine a quest or story hook with that creature at the center of it all. It is a functional source for DCCRPG scaled critters, but it could also be called 'The Book of Infinite creatures; but now it is also a book of ideas...
It won't be long now, but we are now moving as fast as the post office can manage things. Thank you all for your patience.

Nope... That was an on comming train...
So much for day light at the end of the tunnel.
Critters, Creatures, and Denizens is written, but the art is only 85% complete... and the artist working on the project has injured himself. It is severe and we here at CP are praying and sending good thoughts to him and his family right now. I'm not entirely sure what will happen now, but I'm left without cover art, and many of the fancy borders, and even a few critters. I think I can cobble together the covers from old artwork that hit the editing room floor, but I think I'm just going to have to pull the stuff without art from the book and hope for the best with a first edition.

the latest news...
Well folks, we're happy to announce that the first of the two projects we have on tap has entered has been submitted to the printer for a proof copy. So we will be announcing the debut of "Abundant Soul: elemental knitting for the gauge impaired." An excellent 'how-to' book on the wonders of creating your own sock designs.
Likewise we are pleased to announce that "Creatures, Critters, & Denizens" A DCCRPG compatible source book for monsters and their design is approaching its final phase. We have 85% of the interior art and will be working out the cover soon. I wish I could give a more solid date for delivery, but we are a small time operation at present, and when We hired the artist for the CCD project we doubled the production staff. ;)
Cheers.
